Rubber Industry
We have an ongoing relationship with one of the major tire manufacturers to provide electrical installation engineering for their tire manufacturing facilities which include Calendar Lines, Fabric Process Lines and Extrusion Process Lines. Installations for plastic film, facilities hose production and V-Belt machines were engineered for general product manufacturing. Product handling conveyors, automatic storage and retrieval systems were also included in part of these projects.
Steel Industry
Our most recent project has been providing the electrical installation documentation for a Hot Annealing and Pickling Line with a capacity of 1.2 million tons annually. A project prior to that was, the modernization of a 220 Ton Electrical Arc Furnace including the electrical, structural, piping and installation documentation along with a major expansion and upgrade to the plant’s 138KV Switchyard. Past, major projects in this industry have been the electrical installation of two (2) Hot Strip Mills , Continuous Zinc Plating Mills, Bar Mills, Bright Anneal Lines, Electrical Arc Furnaces and Continuous Casters. The largest of these systems used three hundred thousand horsepower with sixty-five thousand at variable voltage DC. This installation had a power demand of 130 megawatts.
Insurance Claims
Since 1974, we have been involved in supplying expert opinion for electrical claims for major industrial insurers. The work involves the determination of cause, estimated loss and repair methods for these claims.
System Studies
We are using the vurrent version of "EasyPower" software to perform vault, Arc Flash and load flow distribution system studies. We use these studies and other tools in our practice of designing selectively protected distribution systems prior to the purchase of electrical equipment.
