Firm History
Bowshot, Cooper & O’Donnell Engineers, LLC began as a partnership founded by Warren H. Bowshot, Howard L, Cooper and James F. O’Donnell in 1950. The company has been continuously engaged in the practice of Electrical Consulting Engineering for various major industries. By 1968, Raymond E. Schaeffer and Roland K. Field had joined the partnership and James E. Bonner became a full partner in 1991.
What We Do
We have a goal of developing a high quality product within your budget and in a timely manner. We offer a broad range of engineering services including preliminary investigations, reports, studies, power system analysis and installation design. We also perform AutoCAD Electrical services. We have in-house Computer Aided Drafting and Design Systems in place with sufficient capacity to provide engineering drawings for all projects. Currently we are using the latest AutoCad and AutoCad Electrical packages. Our projects have included feasibility studies to design-build installations. We are using a database to produce cable schedules which automatically calculates conduit and tray fills as well as finding many commo errors. Also, we are proficient with Microsoft Office Applications including the use of Microsoft Project.We have also provided consultations and reports for insurance and legal firms and have acted as a sub-contractor for other engineering and manufacturing organizations. Also, field installation assistance has been a predominant part of our project responsibility.
Our System
Our organizational structure is a compact, flat two layer system and is an efficient system since all projects are supervised by a project engineer/ manager who assemble the required personnel to perform the necessary engineering and associated functions. This system allows a direct access to the project personnel at all times. The remainder of the organization is made up of engineers, designers, draftspersons and office staff.
